The production package. Liability if someone gets hurt on set, your rented camera and grip gear if it’s damaged or stolen, hired auto for anything you’re driving that isn’t yours, and someone else’s property if your crew damages it by accident.
The stage excess. An extra $2M on top of that, because your stage’s contract asks for it.
What happens next
- Ask for a certificate whenever a location, the stage, or your rental house needs one. It goes out the same day.
- Your E&O gets placed once your distributor sends the schedule that sets the limits, usually $1M and $3M over three years.
